Nonkululeko Tsita has a proven history of leadership in management accounting functions, system implementations, and business process improvements. Her career spans more than 25 years of experience, working in both private and public sector developing and implementing activity based costing models, resource allocation models, pricing strategies, conducting corporate benchmarking, rationalisation and turnaround strategies. as well as conducting financial viability studies.
As a Deputy Director: Costing at the Nelson Mandela University in Port Elizabeth, Nonkululeko actively leads discussions about interpreting and presenting definitive data to executive and operational management for their use in setting and realising financial goals and strategic objectives. She also worked as an Acting Director: Management Accounting in the same institution, where she led the institution through the annual consolidated budgeting process and performance management for direct reports as well as contributing to continuous process improvement initiatives. Before joining the Nelson Mandela University, Nonkululeko worked as a Management Accountant at the University of South Africa and a Cost Accountant at Technikon South Africa. She often represents the Finance team on university governance structures including project groups, working groups and management advisory groups as required.
