HERS-SA to host the Inaugural Higher Education Women Leaders Awards at the DoubleTree at Hilton Hotel, Woodstock, Cape Town on Thursday, 7th of September 2023.
The awards aim to recognise the achievements of women who inspire, motivate and lead others to achieve their best, and to attract new leadership talent to the sector. The awards will focus on these categories
- Lifetime Achiever
- Trailblazer
- Humanitarian
- Women in STEM
- Women in Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS)
- Women in Academic Administration
- Emerging Young Women Leaders
Through this initiative, HERS-SA hopes to create role models, increase the visibility of women leaders and importantly, advance gender transformation in the South African higher education sector. The event is expected to attract leaders in higher education, corporates, community, and other sectors.
