Prof. Kulsum Kondiah is an Associate Professor and Deputy Head of Department (Teaching and Learning) Biotechnology and Food Technology at the University of Johannesburg. She has been an educator and scientist for 15 years. She holds a patent and her research is recognized nationally and internationally. In 2021, She received the Faculty Excellence in Teaching and Learning award. With her, students feel encouraged to be expressive, exploratory and innovative in a fun, free and safe space. She is also passionate as a mentor to other women as future leaders. In her free time, she enjoys baking with her daughter.
