I received my PhD in 2006 from Warwick University (UK) in the Sociology of Religion. I am the author of two books, over 30 book chapters and articles and NRF C3 rated. I become the first female chair of the Association for the Study of Religion in Southern Africa and the first female editor of the Journal for the Study of Religion. In 2017 I was Vice Dean in the Faculty of Humanities at UJ and in 2018 I become the Executive Director of the Library at UJ, because I believe that at libraries students learn the most important lifelong skill: how to find, analyze and critically use the most relevant and reliable information for their learning, research and careers.
