Theodore Petrus is an Associate Professor of Anthropology based at the University of the Free State. He has been involved in Academia for the past 23 years, and is a research specialist in the Anthropology of Crime; Gang Subcultures; Witchcraft-related Crime in South Africa; and Symbolic Anthropology.
Theodore is also an experienced coach/mentor and speaker. He specialises in working with PhD students, early- and mid-career academics, executives, managers and career professionals. He has been a coach for the last 8 years, and has been a speaker for more than a decade.
He has been a mentor on the National Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences (NIHSS) Doctoral Mentorship Programme for the last 2 years, and has recently been nominated to serve for his third term. He has also been involved in the Women in Leadership (WiL) coaching programme, having coached/mentored women academic leaders in various management and leadership roles.
